This course provides an overview of the concepts and concrete steps to create accessible documents in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. It also introduces how to convert documents into accessible PDFs.
This training will be held virtually via Zoom on November 7th & 8th from 9 am - 11 am, and 1 pm - 3 pm each day. This course is part of the IT Academy, but is open to all and recommended for anyone and everyone at Harvard.

When purchasing technology from vendors, it’s important to make sure that the vendor commits to providing an accessible product. In this course you’ll learn how to start the accessibility conversation with a vendor, as well as how to assess a vendor’s approach to accessibility. We’ll also cover Harvard’s procurement process, including the Accessibility Rider, and what to do when that Rider can’t be signed.
This course provides an overview of the concepts and concrete steps to create accessible PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Designing with accessibility in mind improves ease of use and access to your content for everyone.
