Learn how to conduct a complete assessment of your website’s accessibility. The course will include an overview of free browser extensions and automated tools, as well as manual testing approaches, with interactive demonstrations of various methods and techniques. We’ll also discuss how to report accessibility issues in a meaningful, actionable way.
This course will cover:
- Digital Accessibility Overview - understanding the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Automated Testing - free extensions and tools
- Manual Testing - keyboard access, content check, and screen reader testing
- Reporting and Remediating Issues
- Tools and Resources

- WAVE Web Evaluation Tool
- HeadingsMap for Chrome or HeadingsMap for Firefox
- axe DevTools - for use only in “Inspect” mode
- Windows users: NVDA Screen Reader
- Mac users: VoiceOver Screen Reader is built into your device
